This footage was recently aired in Australia leading to an enraged outburst from the public. This has convinced the government to suspend live export to indonesia and this week we await the passing of a bill that will ban ALL live export from Australia. The footage is graphic and sickening but understand that Australia is not the only country that supplies living animals to the Indonesian meat trade.

Attempting a sleepover with the mini foxy at my place. So far have only had one incident where Oscar tried to play with her and proved to be a little too big. All ready for bed now though and everyone is friends again!
I want to order Oscar some PJs for next winter a) because I think they’d be more comfortable to sleep in than a coat with ties and b) because I’m a crazy dog lady who thinks it’s pretty cute! Only problem is, I can’t decide what fabric to order!!!! I’m thinking that the rubber ducks may be too awesome to pass up!

It doesn’t take much for Oscar to get hot and start panting away be it after a walk, in the car or just because it’s over 25 degrees celcius outside! So I’ve invested in a Cool Coat for him; you just stick it in cold water a for a few minutes, wring out the excess and whack it on your woggle! Awesome! Remember that they’re only effective for up to 3 hours though. Any longer and it’s more of a hot coat!

Of all the startling images to have come out from the Queensland floods, this has to be the most unusual — a green frog hitching a ride on the back of a brown snake.
Computer technician Armin Gerlach was visiting friends in the flood-hit town of Dalby, located in the state’s south-east, last week when he spotted the unlikely pair.
“I felt amazement, I just couldn’t believe it,” Mr Gerlach told ninemsn.
Mr Gelach said a friend who had been affected by many floods told him animals often helped each other out during disasters.
“It’s quite common when you have animals in floods or fires or disasters, they actually get together and don’t do anything,” he said.
“[My friend] has seen foxes and rabbits forget their hunting instincts during natural disasters,” he said.
